Business Intelligence Role-Specific Learning Paths

Summary: Created 15 microlearning courses in Rise 360 to help customers (and internal employees) transition to a new BI tool. Simplified complex data concepts for both analysts and low-access end users. Delivered content, SME reviews, and publication—within a 3-week sprint.

Challenge

The company I worked for transitioned from a legacy business analytics platform to a new one. All customers needed to be trained on how to use the new tool to generate reports and monitor essential metrics, but existing training resources became outdated practically overnight.

Solution

I developed a structured, scalable learning experience in Rise 360, starting with 10 courses and expanding to 15 based on user needs. Courses were designed to build upon each other, introducing basic to advanced concepts.

  • Courses included multimedia, interactive modules, and built-in assessments.
  • Materials targeted both analysts and low-access users with customized examples.
  • All assets were reviewed by SMEs and published within a tight 20-day sprint.

My Role

  • Designed the full course track structure and learning objectives.
  • Wrote scripts, built courses, and produced interactive content in Rise 360.
  • Collaborated with SMEs and QA reviewers to validate accuracy and clarity.

Tools & Technologies

  • Authoring: Rise 360, Adobe XD
  • Development: HTML, CSS (for supplemental web content)
  • Collaboration: Google Docs, Slack, Zoom

Impact

  • 15 courses created in just 20 days
  • Broad accessibility across end-user and analyst audiences
  • Accelerated adoption of new BI platform with minimal disruption
  • Demonstrated ROI by replacing costly 1:1 training and outdated manuals
